Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2026

Agreement

By signing up for or using KanBit, you agree to these terms. They are between you (or the organization you represent) and the company that operates kanbit.pro.

Important: This is an honest scaffold, not a final legal document. Review with a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before launch and replace this block with a full terms-of-service document.

What KanBit is

KanBit is a hosted project management service that gives each of your clients or teams an isolated workspace. Features include kanban boards, sprints, epics, milestones, documents, comments, integrations, and AI-assisted search.

Your account

  • You must provide a valid email and a password of at least eight characters.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. If you suspect your account is compromised, change your password and contact us.
  • You may invite others into your workspaces. You are responsible for the actions of anyone you invite.
  • You agree not to create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use KanBit to store or transmit illegal content.
  • Attempt to break, probe, or degrade the service, the underlying infrastructure, or other users' workspaces.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, or redistribute our code.
  • Send spam or unsolicited messages from our contact or notification surfaces.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. Egregious cases we handle without warning; borderline cases we'll email you first.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Free plans are genuinely free. We do not require a card.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Pro is $9 per user per month; Team is $6 per user per month starting at 20 seats.
  • You can cancel any time from the Stripe customer portal linked inside your workspace. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Refunds are handled case-by-case. Email [email protected] if something feels wrong.

Your data

You own all content you upload to KanBit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, transmit, and display that content only to the extent necessary to operate the service for you. We do not use your content for training machine learning models.

You can export your workspace data to CSV or JSON at any time. If you cancel your subscription we retain your data for 30 days to let you export, then delete it.

Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time.
  • We may terminate accounts that break these terms, become inactive for a long period, or pose a risk to other users or the service.
  • On termination your data is deleted according to the retention policy in the privacy page.

Warranty and liability

KanBit is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

(Your lawyer will want to expand this section significantly. Leave the limits framework in place and fill in the jurisdictional language that applies.)

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where KanBit is operated. Disputes will be handled in the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we make changes. If we make material changes we will email account holders before the changes take effect.
